My Great Aunt, Josephine (Jones) Pohley) was born in San Francisco in 1870. She was the first child of Thomas and Margaret (Kelly) Jones. She survived the 1906 Earthquake and Fire. The Pohley’s were said to be the only ones in the Jones family whose house survived. I have yet to search all the city directories around the era to find out if that is true. She died at the age of 92.
