I got quite a bit done today. I’m working on challenge #6, Reach Out and Perform Genealogical Acts of Kindess.
I completed Task A–comment on a new blog to me. I left a comment at “My Big Fat Cajun Irish Scottish English German French Southern Family” blog. And, I thought I had a lot of countries to work on.
I completed Task B–Adding photographs to Find A Grave. I went as far as adding a whole new cemetery! You can see my efforts in my blog post from earlier today.
I completed Task G–Using the Follow feature on a Blogger based blog. I am now following two blogs.
Finally, I have taken on a genealogy project for someone who is new to genealogy. I’m looking up her West and Joelson lines in the census. I was able to do quite a bit of work on the West lines, but the Joelson family eludes me. It may be that her ancestor arrived after 1930. I’ll give it another go before throwing in the towel on that one. I’ll document my results later this week when I’ve got it all together.
That gives me a Gold Medal for three completed tasks in this category and I am on my way to the Diamond. Wow! Just like Apolo Ohno…Though, I doubt anyone will be comparing me to the feats of Bonnie Blair though.
