This week’s mystery photo comes from the collection of Marie Gloria (Bonita) Medeiros thanks to her granddaughter. The Bonita’s were from Kauai, Hawaii, Monterey County, CA, and Oakland, CA. They had de Braga family in Honolulu, Hawaii.
We have three individuals. The two men appear to be middle aged, the woman elderly.
Given the style of dress, I’m guessing that this was taken in the 50s, though I could be off on that. I am not sure if they are related to each other as their wasn’t any information on the back.
This is an enlargement of the original photo…
The background shows many plants and trees. There are palms. It gives me the impression of being Hawaii, though it could be a little bit of Hawaii brought to California.
Whenever I look at this photo, I get a strange impression. The woman seems to be blind. I wonder if anyone else gets the same impression? Maybe she is just squinting in the sun.
If you can name any of these faces, please let me know! It would be nice to identify them.

Not being part of this family (That I know of!), I couldn’t begin to answer your question, but I do love looking at old photos and imagining the lives of the people in them. I wish you luck in discovering the identities of these folks.
