This is Randy’s weekly challenge, Saturday Night Genealogy Fun.
Grandparents nurture their grandchildren and teach them about love. They lead by example. They pass down family history and traditions. They make their grandchildren feel special. Everyone needs to feel special.
When we view our parents as grandparents, we see them through new eyes. We see them playing games, spoiling their grandkids, and sneaking cookies 15 minutes before dinner because it won’t hurt anybody. We get to see them enjoying their grandchildren unconditionally and with abandon because they no longer have to fret about meeting basic needs.
I am so glad that I got to see my parents as grandparents.
