Mary A. (Kelly) Meincke was the daughter of Martin Kelly and Catherine Dolan. Mary was born in 1859 in San Francisco. From what I’ve gathered so far, Mary is the oldest female of the tree to vote. For the most part, her generation shied away from voting. It was their daughters who took advantage of their newly one right.
Gertrude was the daughter of Mary Kelly and Frederick Meincke. She was born in 1891 in San Francisco. She was single (never married) and worked throughout her adult life. Gertrude began voting in 1912.

Notes:
Mary first voted in 1913, two years after she earned the right to vote in the state of California. She is recorded as Mary Ann, Mary A., and Mary. First, she was registered as a Democrat then changed to Republican. In 1922, she appears twice. I’m not sure why. None of her sons married a Mary, so it can’t be her daughter-in-law.
Notice that her address was 19 Cotter (San Francisco) then 31 Cotter. I am not sure if this signifies a changed in residence or a number assignment change by the city. She had 3 or 4 of her grown children living with her and their addresses reflect the same change. Her husband, Frederick Meincke Sr., was alive until 1907. I did not find him in the records.
Here is what I gleaned from the records on Mary:
Meincke Mary Ann 19 Cotter Housewife 1913 Democrat
Meincke Mrs. Mary A. 19 Cotter Housewife 1914 Republican

Notes on Gertrude:
Gertrude lived with her mother until her mother’s death (as well as several of her brothers). Her party affiliation fluctuated between Democrat and Republican. She identified her job as a Clerk, a Bookkeeper and then a Clerk again.
